REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

The Dispatch reports directly to the Operations Manager-BC.


JOB SUMMARY:


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Optimise logistic and the expediting process;
  • Coordinate analysis of tank monitor data to create optimal routes and load sizes for dispatch;
  • Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day;
  • Coordinate and plan loads effectively and efficiently;
  • Communicate well with drivers and customers with a high degree of customer service, to ensure delivery targets and special instructions are met;
  • Manage the Truck Preparation Screen for all orders;
  • Plan the outbound routing of all package goods and bulk product via Catalys and 3PL channels;
  • Driver training and accountability adherence to policies and procedures;
  • Truck and trailer preventative maintenance schedule;
  • Coordinate and facilitate equipment repairs, licensing and certifications;
  • Address customer inquiries in a timely & professional manner;
  • Ensure full utilization of the fleet, with capacity management and vehicle maintenance planning;
  • Plan, schedule, direct and execute production activities;
  • Ensure of all Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures are followed;
  • All other duties as assigned;
  • Schedule all inbound loads of bulk, packaged goods, supplies etc. ;
  • Purolator account management;
  • Daily/Weekly reporting of customer pickups;
  • Installation and reporting of all tank monitors in the network under the Catalys BCC and CLW group. Ensure they are installed and fully functional and accurate;
  • Support the optimization of the $/L spent on transportation of all goods sold.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 5 years experiences as dispatcher and relevant experience in Production and other related position. Any related experience in Lubricants is an asset.

Education:
Diploma in related fields Asset.

Language:
Fluent in English spoken and written.
