  • In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, and under the general supervision of a senior position such as a Social Worker, Registered Nurse or designate; the Community Social Service Assistant provides support services in the admission and discharge of patients/residents/clients and provides ongoing social services support.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Days, 08:00 to 14:45

Fort Nelson is located in the northernmost reaches of the Rocky Mountains, has magnificent scenery and landscapes. The main industries are forestry, natural gas, transportation and tourism. The population is approximately 3,370. There are now three elementary schools and one secondary school. Fort Nelson is a charming and friendly community with genuine personality. The importance of the Alaska Highway is immediately evident and the town itself is built around the highway, with the museum, gas stations, shopping, restaurants, accommodations and services spread along its route. Qualifications:


  • Grade 1
  • Graduation from a recognized Community Social Service certificate program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Recent related experience of one year.
  • Valid B.C. Drivers' License and access to vehicle for business related purposes.
