Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted customers looking for a comfortable, efficient and safe flying experience.

After a decade in business, Chrono Aviation has increased its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs more than 280 people.

Chrono is the only airline in Quebec to offer aircraft that can accommodate from 9 to 120 passengers exclusively for charter.

With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono Aviation continues to expand and strengthen its leadership position in the air charter industry in Quebec and Canada.

Role and context

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Payable Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper processing and monitoring of credit cards, as well as various payment-related tasks.

Key responsibilities

The accounts payable technician carries out all administrative accounting tasks relating to the accounts payable of certain group companies that have several links together.

Specifically, you will be required to:

Checking and processing supplier invoices on time.
Reconcile supplier accounts with monthly statements.
Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoicing and payment issues.
Follow up invoice approvals.
Prepare supplier payments by cheque, transfer or other means of payment.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Identify and suggest improvements to accounting processes.

Rapidly develop a good understanding of operations so as to be able to produce management reports tailored to the Group's needs

Specific job requirements

Experience in the accounts payable department (2 years or more), ideally in an environment involving intercompany transactions.
Experience with accounting software (Sage 50 would be an asset)
A good knowledge of Excel, and a proven ability to learn customised software and tools
Oral and written bilingualism (an asset)
Teleworking: 2 days a week
