As the Building Maintenance Worker, you will be part of a maintenance team responsible for the daily operations of 5 commercial buildings in the Greater Vancouver area.

Your day to day responsibilities will include overseeing the maintenance and repair of the building and liaising with tenants.

Responsibilities

• Attend the Buildings on a set schedule which may be changed from time to time by the management as required;
• Attend to emergencies as they happen;
• Patrolling regularly through stairwells, mechanical rooms, vacant suits, parking lots, washrooms, elevator lobbies and fill out appropriate logs for repairs
• Ensure all work done by outside contractors are in good workmanship and to the satisfaction of the management;
• Ensure that the interior and exterior of the Buildings is clean and in good order at all times;
• Ensure all locked areas such as electrical rooms, boiler rooms, storage rooms etc. are adequately secured;
• Follow and work on preventive maintenance program for the Buildings;
• Perform general repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and minor adjustments in the Building where possible, such as:
• Ensuring all lights, signs and electrical equipment are in good working condition both inside and outside of the Buildings, replacing lightbulbs as required;
• Drywall patching and painting; colour matching, touch ups
• Door repair; door closure adjustments/replacement, hardware, latches, hinges, lubrication
• Replace or adjust falling and broken light lenses;
• Replace broken ceiling tiles
• Investigate and repair malfunctioning sinks, toilets and plumbing equipment

Qualifications

• Chinese language proficiency would be an asset

$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
