We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team.

In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement, and maintain innovative Engineering practices that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Administrative Assistant I (AA1) will play an integral role in supporting the Engineering & Infrastructure program.

This position acts as a liaison between stakeholders as the first point of contact for Engineering related inquiries while providing a positive customer service experience; processing/assigning LHAP, LHB, and LHPP work orders; maintaining and updating of preventative maintenance processes/procedures.

The AA1 will assist with; payroll process, obtain quotations, entering requisitions on SAP for supplies/services, prepare monthly on-call schedules for Maintenance Engineers, contract documents with respect to contractor in/out; provide AA vacation/sick coverage for E & I at other sites.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Office Administration Diploma (General, Medical, Legal or Executive) or the equivalent of significant related experience.
  • Experience in an Administrative Assistant role, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (may be tested).
  • Exceptional keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable effective interaction with all stakeholders within Lakeridge Health, being staff, physicians, patients, and external contacts.
  • Familiarity with engineering trades terminology and ability to learn related software, proven ability to coordinate and manage multiple demands under restricted timeframes.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to foster good public relations and effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills in dealing with operational and management issues.

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices, including staff safety, patient safety, environment safety and participates in regular inservice education in this area.
