The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.


Summary of position:

Héroux Devtek is seeking a Field Service Representative for its Product Support Center in St-Hubert.

The person selected will provide first line support to Héroux Devtek customers in order to restore Landing Gear to an airworthy condition, in a timely manner.


Main responsibilities:


  • Perform Technical analysis and Repairs on aircraft on Heroux Devtek Landing Gears, at OEM
or at Operators facilities.

  • Provide Remote Technical Support (trouble shooting) to OEM or Operators, including written
work instructions and request for inspections to assess a technical issue.

  • Provide training of team members, customers and operators, ensuring best practice
environmental methodology.

  • Work within the scope of approval, procedures and mandates issued by Heroux Devtek
quality organisation (Quality, Technical, Safety and Environmental).

  • Identify and report airworthiness issues in line with Heroux Devtek quality system
requirements.

  • To accomplish assigned tasks in line with CAA/FAA/EASA/TC and any other airworthiness
regulation.

  • To complete all documentation in a timely, accurate and comprehensive manner.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request & improvement recommendations for the benefit of
the business.


Qualifications:


  • Technician degree or Engineering degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace Maintenance
and Overhaul with at least X years of practical experience in a similar role with client
interface.

  • Knowledge of Landing Gears maintenance and Overhaul strongly recommended with ideally a
formal Aircraft Maintenance certification or degree.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of aerospace original equipment assembly, maintenance, repair
and overhaul and conversant with original equipment design drawings and test schedules,
Component Maintenance Manuals, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Repair
Schemes and Concessions.

  • A valid passport, a valid driver's license and a car.
  • The ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English with the ability to train others.
  • Understanding of Unit Log Cards, requirements management, MRB data and Life Limited
Parts concept.

  • Computer literate. Ability to access software on or off site to complete tasks and produce
Certificates of Release, Form 1 and Visit Reports.

  • Travel anywhere in the world with limited notice. (on call)
  • Customer focussed with a drive to complete tasks and keep all stakeholders informed of
progress.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Strong selfplanning and organising skills underpinned with flexibility to react to changing
customer needs.

  • The ability to tackle a problem and implement a resolution.
  • Strong teamworking skills with the ability to motivate others to complete tasks on time.
  • A clear and concise communicator that can engage with a wide audience of stakeholders.
