Job Duties:

  • Processing Accounts Receivable invoices with high volume and tight deadlines
  • Accounts receivable dealing with students/families on the phone for payment
  • Data entry, invoicing and job costing
  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices with high volume and tight deadlines
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate and prepare monies for commission
  • Performing account reconciliations
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Complies with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Make bank deposits
  • Maintain a series of accounting/bookkeeping financial spreadsheets for matters such as records
  • Maintain an accurate and complete record of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities

Expectations:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with high volume receivables/payables, or a mature student/recent graduate of Bachelor of Business administration
  • IT friendly
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Selfstarter who can work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be detailoriented
  • Speed and accuracy are a must for data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced working environment and can meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
