Job Duties:
- Processing Accounts Receivable invoices with high volume and tight deadlines
- Accounts receivable dealing with students/families on the phone for payment
- Data entry, invoicing and job costing
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices with high volume and tight deadlines
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate and prepare monies for commission
- Performing account reconciliations
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
- Maintains historical records by filing documents
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Make bank deposits
- Maintain a series of accounting/bookkeeping financial spreadsheets for matters such as records
- Maintain an accurate and complete record of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities
Expectations:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with high volume receivables/payables, or a mature student/recent graduate of Bachelor of Business administration
- IT friendly
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Selfstarter who can work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work well in a team environment and be detailoriented
- Speed and accuracy are a must for data entry
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced working environment and can meet tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
