Highlights of the jobWe are hiring a full-time permanent
Systems Analyst position working out of Edmonton, AB.
This position may be eligible for EPCOR's hybrid work program.
What you'd be responsible for
- Employing open communication and analytical skills to resolve operational issues effectively for customers within expected timeframes.
- Ensuring system reliability and availability through dedicated system monitoring, maintenance and change management.
- Assisting with the completion of Transition to Operations reviews and checklists.
- Overseeing root cause analysis on issues to mitigate and prevent future risk.
- Executing daily job duties with a focus on continuous improvement of processes and systems.
- Participating in Major Capital Projects as required.
- Providing positive contributions to documentation and knowledgebase to allow for the longterm sustainability of EPCOR Information Services.
- Abiding by all Application Services departmental policies and processes.
- Successful completion of a Computer Science or Engineering degree or a Computer Engineering/System Technology diploma.
- You are a keen technical selfstarter interested in continuous learning and innovation.
- Development experience & intermediate knowledge of C# or Java
- Intermediate knowledge of Oracle database or Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of the following would be desirable:
- Intermediate knowledge of Linux & Windows Operating Systems and associated troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Oracle Spatial & Graph or Microsoft SQL Spatial
- Basic knowledge of GIS Concepts
- Previous experience with System Delivery Life Cycle using one or more common programming languages.
