DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers, the Medical Office Assistant will provide the following duties:
- Scheduling and communicating appointment details to patients
- Managing schedules for multiple services delivered from the office location
- Managing requests for patient documents, referrals and clinical supplies
- Prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical administrative role
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in Office Administration, or recognized equivalent, or a combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of orthopedic medical terminology
- OHIP billing experience
- Demonstrate advanced working knowledge of Microsoft outlook, Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communications skills for reporting information to patient and staff
- Superior customer service with ability to understand and meet patient and Physician needs
- Demonstrate ability to take initiative and act independently using sound judgment as well as accepting direction
- Experience working with Accuro EMR
Job Type:
Part-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
