We are currently looking for an
Operations Supervisor for our
Leduc Terminal.

The Operations Supervisor will oversee and supervise drivers and dispatchers, have a strong understanding of different types of equipment, and be a fast thinker with strong communication skills.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate drivers and dispatchers to ensure smooth operations and ontime delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor and track the progress of drivers and equipment throughout the day, addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Provide guidance and support to drivers and dispatchers, offering solutions and assistance as needed. Back up dispatcher as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication between different teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including hours worked, delivered goods, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure the wellbeing of drivers, equipment, and cargo.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Proven ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software related to transportation management.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
