***This role will be responsible for Canadian indirect tax compliance - direct tax compliance duties as assigned by Canadian Tax Managers.WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Reconcile indirect tax general ledger accounts monthly.
- Filing of indirect tax returns payment of sales tax remittances.
- Coordination of indirect tax reviews completed by third party vendors.
- Scanning tax documents into Sharepoint tax library administrator of tax library/ training of end users.
- Assist in preparations of Canadian T2 income tax returns.
- Assist in preparation of Canadian T1134 reporting forms.
- Preparation of annual countrybycountry report
- CBCR.
- Preparation of support for cash taxes paid disclosure in audited financial statements assembly of info required for Marcopolo.
- Participate in process of gathering information for tax return, tax provision and tax audits.
- Assist US Indirect Tax Manager in understanding Canadian indirect tax rules for the purpose of maintaining EBTax module for Oracle companies.
- Prepare and file T4A NR, T5, Reg 105 remittances, maintain dividend distribution file.
- Reporting of monthly GST/HST analytics to Tax Manager (review of GHY reports).
- Conduct self audit to identify indirect tax saving opportunities.
- Assist payables with resolution of sales tax queries.
- Assist in preparing information for external audit requirements.
- Assist in preparing information for due diligence procedures related to company issues.
- Assist internal auditors with information preparation and testing requirements.
- Prepare excel spreadsheets for tax returns and special projects.
- Coordinate tax records keeping.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
***CPA designation in enrollment in the CPA Program would be an asset.
- In-Depth GST/HST course would be an asset.
- Corporate tax exposure with tax preparation and information gathering would be an asset.
- Proficient with MS Office tools and high functioning Excel use.
- Oracle exposure an asset.
- Veery good organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and selfmotivated.
- General office activities including walking, sitting and other physical requirements related to job function.
- Less than 5% travel
