Purpose:

To provide an outstanding level of service to guests in all Novotel, Ottawa Hotel Food and Beverage Outlets in both official languages.

Reports to:
F&B Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Supports all hotel F&B outlets on an as needed basis, in a server/busing capacity, working as a team at all given times
Sets ups up furniture and AV equipment as required by event orders, makes changes as required to meet guest's needs
Provides a consistent, ongoing focus on guest and clientsatisfaction
Ensures health and hygiene standards are maintained at all given times + the serving area looks clean and attractive.
Attends meetings and training as required.

Key Qualifications:

Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive can do attitude
Must have open/flexible availability, and be available to attend work, at times, with short notice
Ability to be able to serve guests in both official languages while smiling
Minimum 2 years' experience in serving and/or catering
Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision
Must possess excellent internal/external guest service skills
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, cooperate with team members, and deliver quality food and beverage items consistently.
Should be flexible in their work schedule and be able to lift heavy trays and equipment (up to 60 lbs).
SmartServe Certification is required.

Salary:
$15.50-$15.75 per hour
