    About Our Client
    Our client is a boutique investment banking firm based in Toronto, focusing on providing financial and advisory services to small to medium-sized growth businesses.

    We have two distinct groups: the Securities Group and the Solutions Group. Both offer unique services to support our investors and entrepreneurs.

    The Securities group is registered with the Ontario Securities Commission as an Exempt Market Dealer. It specializes in raising capital from accredited investors for private placements in real estate developments, technology start-ups, and high-growth companies.

    The Solutions group is a corporate finance advisory firm that focuses on finding the right financing solutions for our entrepreneurs. We aim to match the financing needs of entrepreneurs with the objectives of various sources of capital. Our vision is to be the leading investment banking firm for small to medium-size businesses.

    The Vice-President will join our Senior Management Team and report directly to the CEO. This role will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote and sell private placement opportunities in high-growth companies and real estate transactions to accredited investors and institutions.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to develop short- and long-term strategic plans, including annual business plans.
    2. Lead the outbound sales team in developing and securing commitments from accredited investors in support of our client's Securities offerings.
    3. Coach and mentor the sales team to manage complex sales cycles involving sophisticated stakeholders.
    4. Work closely with the sales team on major presentations and business development opportunities to ensure success.
    5. Develop a network of senior accredited high-net-worth investors and provide them with necessary resources and support.
    6. Monitor and drive financial results, including revenue and budget targets, sales effectiveness, and recurring trends.
    7. Coach and develop sales professionals, manage their performance, and train them on new skills.
    8. Provide insights on market demand and segmentation of accredited investors to inform deal generation.
    9. Assess and improve sales processes, including CRM, to enhance overall efficiency.

    Competency Profile:
    We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in business development and sales management. Key competencies include motivating others, planning and objective-setting, people management, and team skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    We require at least 7 years of experience in business development and sales management, preferably in the financial industry.
