    District Administrator - Curriculum and Assessment - Learning Services

    The District invites Expressions of Interest to the position of District Administrator - Curriculum and Assessment - Learning Services. This is a term specific position commencing July 1, 2024. Reporting to the Director of Instruction, Learning Services, the District Administrator will provide overall leadership, planning, management, and direction related to curriculum, assessment, reporting, professional learning and other related areas of responsibility and support for the implementation of the Board's Strategic Plan.

    The role and responsibilities are expected to grow and evolve as the successful applicant moves into and develops the position in collaboration with other members of the Learning Services Team. This position is open to all educational administrators (district-based, elementary, and secondary) in the district.

    This new position will be in place as soon as possible and continue for a term of 48 months. At the end of this term, the district administrator will revert back to their current position or by mutual agreement may continue in the role.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Lead the development and implementation of key actions in the District's Strategic Plan, Strategic Priorities 1 and 2 - Inspired Learners and Equity and Inclusion

    · Work collaboratively with other members of the Learning Services Team to design and implement a cohesive, intentional district-level plan and supports in the areas of curriculum, assessment, and reporting

    · Provide direct supervision of Teacher Consultants in multiple areas, including literacy, numeracy, mentoring, assessment

    · Lead, coordinate and support development and implementation of district wide professional learning

    · Lead, coordinate and support district events such as Inquiry Celebration, French Festival, FSA marking

    · Lead, coordinate and support development and implementation of district initiatives related to assessment and communicating student learning

    · Represent the district on internal and external committees in the areas as described above

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · Experience providing leadership in development and implementation of district priorities and initiatives.

    · Experience in leading a team of people towards school and/or district goals.

    · Experience providing leadership in the development and implementation of effective practices across curricular areas aligned with the revised British Columbia curriculum.

    · Demonstrate understanding of educational change, curriculum implementation, equity and inclusive learning, and integration of technology.

    · Demonstrate exemplary leadership, communication, presentation, and organization skills.

    · Demonstrate commitment to professional growth both personally and in current leadership context
