Jim Pattison Auto Body & Glass has a new opportunity for an Auto Body Apprentice Technician to join our team


Reporting to the Body Shop Manager and assigned Technician, you will be passionate about providing exceptional vehicle repairs and have a results-oriented outlook on all repair work.

As an Auto Body Apprentice Technician for our premium brands, high volume location you must be self-motivated, high energy, a team player and results-oriented with a proven track record of vehicle service excellence.


Responsibilities:

Our Auto Body Apprentice Technician is responsible for working in collaboration with Auto Body Technicians to complete vehicle repairs by performing the following duties:

  • Performing the work described in the work orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensuring that the customers' vehicles are clean. Reports any incident which may affect the appearance or condition of a vehicle to the Production Manager as soon as possible.
  • Ensuring that the shop is clean and tidy.
  • Maintaining all the tools and manuals belonging to the Center and takes responsibility for them; returns them to the proper location, in the same condition as when they were received.
  • Documenting all work performed and recommended on the work order.
  • Participating in training programs and attends school and events sponsored by manufacturer.
  • Keeping uptodate on the technical bulletins and procedures.
  • Keeping abreast of federal and provincial regulations and municipal bylaws governing the removal of hazardous waste, safety, etc.; understands and observes them.

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Driver's license in good standing and clean driver's abstract required.
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Working towards completion of Red Seal designation.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Appropriate safety shoes required.
