Supercamp is a non-profit day camp located in Ville St. Laurent. We welcome about 300 campers and leaders each week, allowing them the opportunity to try new things, discover new passions and develop new skills. Come and join our staff of more than 50 counsellors and specialists

Main duties as an English Immersion Specialist
Animate groups of children and ensure their safety during the activities. Create and organize different activities and follow the program set forth by the administration of the camp. Prepare and give English lessons to their group.

Many children in this program are not English speakers, the English Immersion specialist's duty is to help them improve their English reading, writing and speaking skills.

Prepare daily activities for their group. Collaborate with other counsellors to create group games and activities. Ensure the safety of participants at all times. etc.

Requirements:

Education: _
Grade 10 (Sec years old minimum)
English or languages studies considered
Skills: _
Ability to work and communicate properly with a team
Ability to take on leadership roles
Sense of responsibility and punctuality
Ability to adapt. Energy and enthusiasm
Ability to work well with children and parents
Good communication skills with a demonstrated enthusiasm for working with youth
General knowledge and interest in different types of arts
Bilingualism (French/English) (required)

Scholarly Training:

Teaching/Tutoring background considered
ESL Teaching experience considered
Previous camp experience considered
CIT/DAFA formation considered
Valid first aid certification.

Experience:

- camp (counsellor/animation): 1 year (preferred)
- teaching English/English as a second language: 1 year (preferred)
