They ensure the completion of installations and maintenance on all diameter pipes within the region they support and across the organization so that we can deliver safe and reliable natural gas without disruption to our most important customers - you


What You Will Do (Responsibilities):

  • Work alongside multiple TFS team crew members, providing safe and efficient end to end execution of operations and construction work types including but not limited to natural gas pipeline and station installations, energizations, abandonments, repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure all work and safety processes/procedures are followed, and that all equipment is inspected and maintained and all personal protective equipment is worn as required.
  • Assist with and/or complete activities included but not limited to job site set up, traffic control, excavation, shoring, welding support, pipeline testing, tapping and stopping, installation of cathodic protection and restoration of sites.
  • Perform complex valve maintenance activity utilizing specialized tools, equipment and processes.
  • Operate excavation and lifting equipment (backhoe, mini excavator, hiab crane, forklift)
  • Emergency response and limited out of town travel will be a key requirement within the role
  • Provide technical support for initiatives lead by QM, Training, Engineering, Operations etc
  • Interact with Alliance partners and customers by maintaining a positive and professional manner that enhances/maintains our Enbridge Gas image.
  • When not specifically performing USR activities, the employee will be called upon and required to perform other activities that commensurate with their skills to support the end to end process crew and region.

Who you are (Qualifications):

  • A minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Must already have obtained a Gas Utility Technician Certificate and a Pipeline Inspector's ticket.
  • Certificate as established by the TSSA for natural gas distribution.
  • Must be certified or be able to get certified to perform small diameter stopping and tapping activities.
  • Certified or willing to get certified to run excavating and lifting equipment (backhoe, mini excavator, hiab crane, forklift)
  • Must have or be able to obtain DZ Driver's License.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have and retain appropriate driver's license and maintain suitable driving record.
  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and related company software.
  • Must be physically capable to perform manual labour and be capable of wearing all appropriate safety/protective equipment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required with some limited travel
  • Must be able to track expenses.
