Job Title:

Health Care Aide:
hiring for Rural south areas: Okotoks, High river, De Winton Diamond valley, Foothills County, Vulcan, AB.


Duties:

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Skills:

• Nurse or nursing assistant experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies.
• Experience in home care or assisted living settings.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
• Proficient in medication administration and documentation.
• Strong caregiving skills and a compassionate nature.
• Familiarity with the needs of individuals in nursing home or assisted living facilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
