The Landscape Technician should contribute to a positive and respectful relationship with the customer, with their crew, and with the management team.

Daily Tasks:

The Technician will be responsible for assisting the Landscape Maintenance Foreman in all of your team's projects. You will report directly to the Foreman for all concerns, questions, issues, and customer requests. You will need to have a working knowledge of the standard operating procedures of all aspects of landscape Maintenance.

The physical demands of this job require constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, driving with a trailer and occasionally operating machinery.

This job requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to the elements. This may include heavy to moderate noise and exposure to tools and machines used in Landscape Maintenance.

Job Requirements

Current and valid BC Class 5 Driver's license
Drivers Abstract
1 year Job experience in related field preferred
Steel toed boots
Appropriate attire for all weather conditions

Expectations

Between 3545 hours per week from March-November
Between 1530 hours per week from December-February
Competence in operating ALL Maintenance equipment, powered and nonpowered.
Competence in completing hedging/pruning, mowing/trimming, weeding and general cleanup
Competence in assisting with jobs including but not limited to simple irrigation repair, aeration/top dress and garden mulching
Plant Identification skills and general care knowledge preferred
Time management and problemsolving skills
Ability to learn and understand new tasks including new technologies
Reliability and timeliness
