Overview:
The


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for Lab and Production equipment configuration and maintenance of hardware and software within the Lab.
  • Lays out, configures, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies Lab and Production computer systems and peripheral equipment.
  • Creates sketches, drawings and schematics to clarify design details and functional criteria for Lab and Production computer and communication systems hardware and operating software.
  • Manages external communication facilities for remote access to Lab and Production equipment.
  • Recommends changes in Lab hardware and software installation and recovery procedures to simplify system management through the test and recovery cycle.
  • Prepares lab environment (hardware and software) for each testing cycle for the conduct of functional, operational, and environmental tests to evaluate hardware and software performance and reliability.
  • Provides configuration and other technical assistance as may be required through the test cycle.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data. Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineers in broader determinations affecting system design and laboratory procedures.
  • Prepares equipment and documentation for Change Management approval for promotion into the Production environment
  • Maintains test records and documents and manages all media within the lab to insure its safekeeping.
  • Coordinates receipt and installation of all software and hardware for testing.
  • Tests system software modifications/patches/service packs to ensure accuracy of changes prior to scheduling their implementation into Production
  • Delivers tested software and/or hardware with documentation for further action in accordance with the Lab Operating Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by IT Management.
  • Provides technical and programming support to project team.
  • Analyzes business needs and makes appropriate technical modifications.
  • Works with key users to resolve system problems and issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent training and experience is required.
  • 3 or more years of experience and demonstrated proficiency with SQL Server, VMWare ESX and SAN experience.
  • Must have 5 years or more of O365 and Microsoft operating systems
  • Experience with Cisco and Aruba networking products
  • Experience with PowerShell and ServiceNow is a plus
  • Must be able to use common hand tools and electronic test equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with computers, peripherals, and computer software
  • Must be able to work with members of the Technical Staff and Management in a fastpaced environment to identify, isolate and resolve hardware and software issues during testing.
  • Must manage the collection and collation of test results into test files.
  • Must maintain technical documentation for all systems deployed in the Lab.
  • Must be able to delivery timely sensitive audit and government regulator requirements
  • May be required to travel to Seminole Gaming Florida properties to support operations.
  • Neat appearance and professional demeanor are expected.
  • Adhere to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and other applicable municipal, provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

  • Duties and responsibilities are performed on the Casino Floor in a fastpaced, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
