Summary:


Reporting to the Fleet Manager and site Foreman, the Hydrovac Truck Operator is responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including underground utility line exposure, slot trenching and soft digging.


Job Duties Responsibilities:


  • Operate a Hydrovac Truck safely as per safe work procedures
  • Perform inspections, complete equipment maintenance tasks, and check equipment daily
  • Keep equipment and vehicles clean and in safe/working order
  • Load and unload equipment in a safe manner
  • Report any accidents, damage, or defects immediately and work in a safe manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • 12 years' experience operating a Hydrovac Truck is considered an asset
  • Must have a valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with air brakes
  • Able to maneuver a hydrovac truck in tight spaces
  • Experience working with underground utilities is considered an asset
  • Ability to read locate maps and constructions plans considered an asset
  • Willing and able to work out of town/province
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Safetyfirst attitude
  • Provide: must have hard hat, high visibility vest, CSA approved steeltoed safety boots/shoes

$25.00-$30.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 3 Driving License with Air Brakes (preferred)

Willingness to travel:
