We are currently seeking a Electro-Mechanical Technician - Wiring Specialist to join our Ottawa based team.
What will you be doing?
As the Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible and accountable for the manufacture and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Build electromechanical assemblies with high levels of quality.
- Ensuring soldering and electrical looming is carried out to a high standard.
- Manufacture of cable assemblies and electrical installation of wiring looms
- Reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings, general assembly instructions schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans.
- Documentation (BOMs, and drawings and electrical schematics).
- Support engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems
- Verify adherence to specifications and requirements with inprocess and final inspection.
What do we need from you?
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in electromechanical assembly.
- Highly proficient with hand soldering, crimping and jointing skills.
- Previously certified to IPC-A610, J-STD001 would be preferred.
- Ability to read Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) would be an asset.
- Experience with JIRA software is considered beneficial.
- Experience working with AS9100D or ISO/TS 16949 quality systems is considered an asset.
