POSITION:

We are currently seeking an
Accounting Manager to join our
Accounting and Finance team.

The Accounting Manager will play a
critical role by overseeing the accounting and treasury activities of different
real estate development projects and
oversee a team of accountants involved those real estate projects.

The successful individual will report directly to the Corporate Controller.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Prepare
    financial statements, including updated cash flow and pro forma for each real estate project under their responsibility. As well as reporting as requested and as needed to our partners;
  • Monitor the
    job costs within a project against the approved budget;
  • Supervising and
    reviewing the accounting cycle of each project;
  • Reviewing
    sales tax remittance reports and reconciling backup for government inquires;
  • Coordinating and reviewing the sales team
    reports and commissions;
  • Monitoring
    accounts payable and invoice payments, including preparing commissions payments from the sales team and external brokers in accordance with existing agreements and tracking those to be paid;
  • Preparing the
    required documentation to be submitted to the financial institutions on a monthly basis for the financing of ongoing development projects under their responsibility;
  • Preparing
    audit files and schedules to support the F/S for our auditors;

Supervise
a team of accounting technicians;

  • Any other related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Between
    five (5) and seven (7) years of experience as an Accounting
    Manager;
  • Between
    three (3) and four (4) years of experience
    supervising staff;
  • Experience in the
    construction industry or with
    accounting by projects;
  • A
    certified CPA, an asset;
  • Knowledge of
    Hopem or
    Maestro software, an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the
    Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
  • Excellent communication skills in
    French and
    English;
  • Verbal and written communication in a
    Chinese language, an asset;
  • Recognized for
    leadership,
    teamwork,
    work ethic, and
    professionalism;
  • Ability to
    supervise, coach, and
    train employees;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Excellent ability to
    prioritize and meet
    deadlines;
  • Sense of
    priority and
    urgency;
  • Organized, selfdirected and
    flexible.
