- Follow written and oral instructions from the Foreman/Lead Hand
- Clean, organize, and sweep the work area and yard as required
- Assist tradesmen as required
- Remove and install pressure vessels and process piping
- Move parts and materials in a safe and competent manner
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting or threading
- Cut and thread pipes using cutting torches, pipe threaders, power and hand tools
- Operate equipment in a safe and competent manner
- Use of basic hand tools and power tools
- Assist in other areas of shop as required and assigned by Branch Coordinator
- Participate in Compass Safety Program including accident investigations and worksite inspections
- Wear PPE and observe health & safety polices and procedures at all times
- Strong promoter of the Compass Brand Promise
- Travel to field locations for and provide cross functional work duties as required
- Interest and ability to move into an apprenticeship position.
- Apprentice would be considered.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to safe work procedures
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Possess good driving habits and have a clean Drivers Abstract
- Team player with attention to detail
