Reporting to the Manager of Community Services or designate, the Facilities Coordinator provides cashiering services as needed and is responsible for effective, efficient, and safe bookings of events and programs in the City of Merritt Facilities.

The incumbent tasks include cashiering services, booking maintenance staff for event set up and take downs, scheduling janitorial cleaning times, customer service, promotion of events, filing, preparing reports, and marketing through the sales and promotion of the facilities and their services.

This position works 35 regular weekly hours Monday-Friday.
Required Knowledge – Education, Training & Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BookKing software.
Highly developed organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence with the ability to respond efficiently and appropriately to client requests.
Ability to self motivate and to function with a minimal direction and supervision.
This position is within the union bargaining unit with a pay rateof $25.58 per hour (2024 CUPE rate).
