Description
BG Excavating Limited is hiring a
Laborer, Civil Construction for our construction sites located throughout the
City of Ottawa. Labourer's will be required to work in compliance with BG's Health and Safety Policy.


Task and Responsibilities:


  • Perform various manual labour tasks related to mass excavation, sewer and water infrastructure construction.
  • Operate various small equipment such as: compactors, wheel barrows, skid steers and hand tools.
  • Regularly perform inspection equipment inspection and other inspections as requested by the Site Forman.
  • Read and interpret plans and diagrams to meet the required specifications of the scope of work.
  • Perform any other associated task assigned by the Site Forman or Field Superintendent.

Employment Requirement:


  • No experienced required, though must be willing to learn.
  • Working at Heights & WHIMIS (or ability to obtain)
  • CSA-Approved Work Boots
  • Access to a vehicle to commute to and from work
  • Reliability or Secret Level Clearance is considered an asset
