Primary Responsibilities:

  • One on one mentorship sessions with all assigned students once a week with a weekly total of 45 minutes time spent per student.
  • Record and track all mentorship sessions on reporting systems provided.
  • Create and teach GSNL & PSNL curriculum and learning plans.
  • Be trained and certified to teach all materials as requested.
  • Record and track all class progression on reporting system provided.
  • Schedule or adapt class time appropriately in order to maintain and honour the timeframe set forth by and to ensure the academic success of each student
  • Family Communications
  • Maintain excellent relationships with student families and support.
  • Communicate student progression or incidents weekly to respected family members.
  • Organize and plan student requests, phone calls, visits and appointments and track requests on reporting system provided.
  • Ensure that scheduled program events, rules & procedures are being followed by students.

Qualifications:

  • Able to effectively minister and counsel students and families.
  • Working knowledge with Mac computers and Apple software.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid class 5 drivers licence.
  • Ability to defuse tense situations.
