We have an exciting opportunity for casual
Rehabilitation Care Workers to work with clients in the Langley area. If you are passionate about seeing people with multiple barriers gain independence through measurable steps and compassionate support, then this job is for you


Job Summary:


In consultation with the Program Manager, the Rehabilitation Care Worker provides life skills training and support services for clients regarding issues such as personal care, access to community leisure programs, housekeeping duties, planning and preparing meals, booking medical appointments and organizing a weekly schedule with one or more brain injured clients living in the community.

The Rehabilitation Care Worker empowers the client(s) to perform all aspects of daily living as independently as possible, providing support and intervention where necessary.


Qualifications:


  • Recent related experience working with the brain injured or other disabled population in a group home or support setting
  • Current certification and documents in the following areas: emergency first aid or equivalent, CPR level A, driver's license class
  • Relevant postsecondary education or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • The use of a personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and other outings

Casual shifts available for AM and PM. All shifts are 8 hours, and between 8 am - 9 pm.

Specifically looking for Casuals with weekend availability, and all other availability is welcome.

Salary:
$27.11 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.


Experience:


  • Support worker: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Emergency First Aid Certificate (preferred)
  • Class 5 License (BC) (preferred)
