IT Manager

Position Overview

Hammehr invites applications for the role of IT Manager on behalf of our client for a full-time permanent opportunity. This role sits at the practical center of the organization's technology function. Close enough to strategy to shape direction, and close enough to operations to keep things running when they wobble. The organization is mid-stream in modernizing core platforms and service delivery, and needs a steady, credible leader who knows how to move change forward without breaking trust or continuity. The environment rewards judgment, follow through, and leaders who are comfortable being both accountable and hands on.

What You'll Do

Operate as the CIO's trusted second, translating priorities into real execution
Keep enterprise systems reliable while guiding cloud and platform transitions
Lead IT service delivery across help desk, infrastructure, M365, and applications
Work directly with business leaders to solve real operational problems with technology
Manage vendors closely and step in when service slips or decisions stall
Stay close to the work in a small IT team where leadership is visible, not abstract
Coach and mentor developing team members through day to day involvement

Basic Qualifications

10+ years in progressive IT roles, giving you the judgment to balance risk, pace, and service stability
Hands on experience leading IT operations or service delivery in an enterprise environment
Direct accountability for vendors and operational budgets, where tradeoffs matter
Strong experience in Microsoft centric environments, including cloud platforms

Preferred Qualifications

You've chosen depth and influence over chasing titles
You've lived through platform transitions like CRM or cloud migrations and know they're rarely clean
You enjoy mentoring junior team members and staying close to how work actually gets done
You're known for explaining complex technology decisions in calm, practical language
