    Our Field Operations team is currently hiring multiple Contract Field Operators (one year contract) for the liquids-rich Kakwa region located in northwest Alberta. The wells and facilities are located approximately 100 kilometers south of Grande Prairie, Alberta along Highway 40 consisting of five main gas plants across the Montney. Reporting to the Field Foreman, you will provide direct guidance and support to operating staff and contractors to consistently meet or exceed expectations in the following areas: health and safety, production, operating costs, corporate values, environment, training, regulatory, and emergency response while in care and control of the field. You will be responsible to provide operational support to the Asset, including monitoring and troubleshooting the safe operation of the wells, gathering systems, and compressor stations.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of and routine maintenance of high-pressure gas wells and gathering systems
  • Monitor the field to ensure production and reliability meet targets and provide effective troubleshooting as required
  • Monitor and evaluate process conditions to achieve optimum throughput
  • Work cross functionally with the construction and maintenance teams and collaborate to optimize production and make changes in the field
  • Assist in Pad commissioning and turnaround planning and perform minor maintenance and plant housekeeping as required
  • Monitor SCADA for any changes and complete production reports accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify hazards and effectively communicate with team members
  • Must be prepared to respond to on-call operational duties and emergency situations and follow the site's emergency response plan
  • Must follow and apply the site's safe work procedures and the requirements of WHMIS, ABSA, and ASME codes as required
  • Champion ARC's culture of safety by abiding by ARC's safety standards and reporting
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate is a motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic and has a minimum of 2 years of field operating experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience working in a high-pressure gas processing field with a thorough understanding of gas and liquid processes
  • Experience with dehydration equipment, transfer pumps, plunger lifts, compression, and condensate stabilization is an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, computer literacy and knowledge of automated operations systems
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications
  • Excellent communication and strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • A 4th Class Power Engineering certificate or interest to complete it is considered an asset
  • Current certification in H2S alive, First Aid, WHIMIS, TDG is preferred
  • Ability to work overtime and respond off hours as part of an "On Call" rotation
  • Ability to operate UTV and Snowmobile
  • Must currently reside in the Grande Prairie area
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts on an 8/6 or 14/14 rotation.

    As this role is considered safety sensitive, the finalist candidates will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing.
