About the Role

The
Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing all shipping activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

This includes coordinating with various departments, preparing shipping documents, scheduling pickups and deliveries, and tracking shipments.

Your Impact

  • Schedule transportation with carriers/couriers.
  • Track shipments and verify receipt of shipments as required.
  • Provide daily order and skid count to shipper/receiver.
  • Report any document discrepancies with production, sales, and shipper/receiver.
  • Review shipping quotes with sales as needed.
  • Package and ship sample packs.
  • Process all paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
  • Maintain filing of shipping documents.
  • Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and couriers.
  • Organize current and following day shipping schedules; ongoing.
  • Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveries.
  • Continually review 'best practices' with departments for the purpose of increasing overall efficiency and cost savings.
  • Maintain regular and professional verbal and written communication with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Professionally receive all customers, suppliers, and visitors entering the building and advise the appropriate Canada Coaster employee of their presence.
  • Provide shipping reporting as required.
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory.
  • Actively participate in preoperational meetings.
  • Maintain professionalism at all levels of the organization, which includes being courteous and respectful to all managers, supervisors, workers, customers, guests, and third parties.
  • Complete daily and weekly projects as assigned by Management based upon the needs of the business.

About You

  • 2+ years of experience as a Shipping Coordinator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and logistics best practices and regulations (including international shipping).
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with shipping software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Problemsolving mindset with attention to detail.
  • A very high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and establish priorities with a high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
