- Design and implement models and data extractions to support custom reporting of accounting, project management, operations, and human resources data
- Develop internal customer relationships to gather requirements towards their reporting objectives and collaborate on best approaches to improve data useability
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications with defined timelines
- Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
- Extract data structures, run queries and perform analysis within a data warehouse environment
- Maintain, support, distribute, and improve existing reporting/analytics solutions
- Assist in developing best practices for data presentation and sharing across the organization
- Provide exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, resolve complex issues, and recommend innovative solutions
- Bachelors Degree in ComputerScience or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Advanced experience working in Excel with data tables, functions, macros, etc.
- Familiarity with database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
- Knowledge of SQL Server Competencies, BI Modeling, Azure Synapse
- Working experience with data analysis, Power BI, tabular models, DAX
- Ability to design and create data visualizations that are intuitive, informative and deliver insight to the business
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving aptitude
- Clear and effective communication and writing skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, self-motivated and a desire to contribute to a small dynamic team
- Experience with scripting languages (VBA, C#, Python)
- Tabular model development experience (SSAS, SSDT, Power BI, Tableau, Azure Synapse)
- Experience working with accounting and financial data
