    Chief Operating Officer (COO)

    The opportunity:

    Our client is a global manufacturer with locations across North America and distribution channels across the globe. They take pride in being a leader in their segment through continuous innovation and a culture of high performance and excellence.

    They are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead global operations. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the COO will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing activities, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality products to our customers worldwide.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive growth and operational efficiency across all manufacturing operations.
    • Strategically oversee the operations of manufacturing and distribution facilities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and cost targets.
    • Lead the optimization of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
    • Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes and systems to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
    • Champion a culture of excellence and compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies to create a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and innovation to enhance manufacturing and supply chain processes, improve productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the organization, providing leadership, guidance, and support to build a high-performing team capable of achieving company objectives.
    • Manage manufacturing budgets, expenses, and capital investments to optimize resource allocation and ensure the achievement of financial targets and profitability goals.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and internal departments, to drive collaboration and alignment towards common goals.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks, including supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, and regulatory changes, to safeguard the company's reputation, assets, and long-term sustainability.

    Required Qualifications:

    • MBA as well as a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    • At least 15 years of international experience in manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of success in a global manufacturing environment
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead, develop and execute complex operational strategies and initiatives
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
    • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive change, foster innovation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven financial acumen and experience managing budgets, expenses, and capital investments.
