This posting will be used to hire 2 positions


Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research.

Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.


Position Overview:


The successful applicant will work with interdisciplinary research team to organize, plan, conduct educational research on developing learning and wellness strategies for caregivers and children.

The work will be divided into preparing materials and supporting the implementation of strategies in communities around Manitoba. Access and ability to drive own vehicle and perform duties in an additional language is an asset.


Duties:


  • Conduct and prepare literature reviews.
  • Review research to support strategy content, write and edit education learning strategies, prepare materials for research, perform routine clerical, computational and administrative duties such as record keeping to support research, participate in online AND inperson team meetings with students, faculty, community members, assist with data collection, data entry, data coding and data analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • A background in education and/or geography/climate change.
  • Successful applicant may be required to carry materials (i.e., 50 pounds).
  • Prepared to work with children and families.
  • Applicant should have access to a computer/camera and reliable wifi.

The period of work will be from
December 5, August 31, 2024 and the estimated total hours of work will be
0-100 hours.
