    Due to rapid business growth and robust project demands, we are seeking to fill a senior role within our team.

    We are looking for a professional and detail oriented Project Lead/Head Designer who will manage stakeholders involved at all project stages and showcase strong design and technical abilities.

    The ideal candidate will oversee the entire design and construction project lifecycle including construction documentation, contract administration, and project delivery tasks.

    The successful candidate will work under direction of the Principal and Associates and will take the lead in developing, directing, and implementing project design goals and commensurate quality assurance and standards protocols

    About you:

    You are a strong leader who is able to manage projects from inception to completion and to lead the design of a project; You thrive in a creative, fast paced, and high energy work environment.

    You are confident and experienced in both coordination and management of complex projects within strict deadlines. You possess a thorough knowledge of construction and building products and processes and relevant regulatory compliance requirements.

    You can effectively communicate and elaborate details and concepts through precise working drawings by utilizing good CAD standards and can efficiently and effectively manage expectations of all project stakeholders and partners, as well as mentoring and guiding junior team members in doing the same.

    You are driven by a passion for design and service, championing both design and client service excellence, and have a positive tenacious attitude with an ability to both effectively troubleshoot when needed and to make things happen when constraints are encountered.

    Demonstrated conceptual design skills
    ~ Creative approach to and proven abilities in design development
    ~ 5 years + experience in a Project Lead or similar role
    ~ Advanced fluency in Revit/CAD skills accompanied by a strong technical portfolio
    ~ Strong understanding of the current BC Building Code and Canadian Standards
    ~ Proficiency with coordinating structural, electrical, mechanical & other consultants designs against the approved design AND ability to effectively liaise with consultants as required
    ~ Business, development, and financial acumen an asset
    ~ Strong drafting skills, both CAD and hand-drawn are essential

    This position comes with the option of being offered in the form of a contract role, but we are ideally seeking to extend the contract into a permanent role for the right candidate.
