(IOG) is a growing full-phase forest development firm based on Vancouver Island tailoring primarily to the forestry, construction and utility industries.
We specialize in steep, remote, constrained and all-around challenging forestry projects with a focus on value rather than volume. Our team consists of professional foresters, certified arborists, fallers, tree climbers, forest engineers and other resource professionals.THE OPPORTUNITY
IOG is seeking an individual to fulfill the temporary/intermittent, live-in role of CAMP WATCH PERSON on our remote barge camp currently situated on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, but may also be relocated anywhere within coastal British Columbia.
Reporting to the designated Project Manager, the camp watch person will perform daily barge checks and light maintenance, and will have daily communication with the Project Manager via cell phone or handheld radio.
The Barge is equipped with a full kitchen including groceries, bathrooms, bedding, and laundry, Starlink Wifi, and Netflix/Amazon streaming subscriptions.
Some flexibility for couples.
First Aid certification, WHMIS, S-100 Basic Fire Suppression certification and own transportation to get to marshalling locations are considered an asset.
