Description

The Centre d'élaboration des moyens d'enseignement du Québec (CEMEQ), a leading Canadian developer and distributor of educational materials and multimedia tools for vocational training, is looking for an English-speaking proofreader to join its editorial team.

Key Responsibilities

Revise and proofread printed and multimedia content.
Verify and finetune the layout of documents.
Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain procedural guidelines.
Process copyright clearance requests and purchase photos.

Prerequisites

Hold an undergraduate degree related to the English language (e.g., linguistics, literature, communications).
Have an excellent command of written and spoken English and a solid understanding of French.
Be proficient in the use of wordprocessing and proofreading software.
Be meticulous and a strong team player.

What we offer//Perks of the job

Salary: $21.26 $ to $28.21 per hour.
Schedule: 35 hours per week with a 32.5hour workweek during the summer without a reduction in pay.
Paid vacation: 4 weeks plus 10 days of paid vacation during the holiday season.
Paid sick days: 7.
Option to work remotely: yes
Group insurance: yes
Group RRSP plan: yes, with an employer contribution of 5% of salary
