Job Summary
AgMedica, a subsidiary of Atlas Global Brands Inc., is currently seeking a Production Associate for their Chatham-Kent facility.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and the Production Team Lead, you will be responsible for working in a large cutting-edge commercial grow facility, utilizing techniques that ensure quality, efficacy, and safety, adhering to all AgMedica Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

The Production Associate will perform tasks in the cannabis grow, processing and packaging sequence, including sorting, pre-roll processing and/or packaging.

Working as a cooperative member of the operations team.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong computer skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated maturity with the ability to selfmanage, organize, prioritize and interact well with others/team; strong team player.
  • Ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude; ability to adapt to change.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Always adhere to AgMedica Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain GMP compliance and obtain quality, efficacy and safety in all stages of the grow, processing, and packaging process;
  • Daily, follow all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations for safety during all processing and packaging operations;
  • Familiar with and follow the Cannabis Regulations;
  • Working with the production and processing teams, monitor all cannabis products;
  • Have foresight to recognize potential hazards, processing problems and contamination risks;
  • Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance team, follow checks and balances for quality, efficacy, and safety;
  • Working as a member of the production and processing teams, perform safe and effective trimming, sorting, processing, weighing and packaging of cannabis product;
  • Destroy plant debris and waste products, recording data;
  • Document in the Batch Production Record (BPR) and associated forms for each cannabis lot;
  • Maintain a clean working environment, possessing an attitude of high standards of cleanliness;
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn;
  • Verify packaging material is accurate and matched to specifications (labels, forms);
  • Ensure all aspects of the packaged product are compliant to specifications;

Qualifications
Required

  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of mathematics and the English language
  • Must be bondable.
  • Must be able to work under intense lighting, with strong odours.
  • Must be able to work in environments with the presence of pollen, molds, mildew, insects, and plant debris.
  • Care and attention due to the handling of high value product
  • Daily, follow all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations for safety during all grow and cultivation operations;
  • Familiar with and follow the Cannabis Act and its regulations; follow GMP standards;
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn;
gowning and area procedures must be followed as per SOP Proper Protective Equipment and SOP Employee Health Hygiene and Dress Code Policy.

Preferred

  • Post secondary in Agriculture/Horticulture or equivalent and/or any other related discipline an asset.
  • Experience in a cannabis, farming, vegetable, or nursery grow operation an asset.
  • Experience in and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) considered an asset.
  • Experience in the cultivation of cannabis or other sensitive commercial crops is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of mathematics and the English language
