- Support organizational and business specific initiatives
- develop and implement recruitment strategies for the hiring and selection of internal and external candidates, including the engagement of Recruitment Agencies, when necessary

- Address and respond to employee issues
- Performance management
- Provide advice, guidance, counsel and support to supervisors/managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, legal compliance, performance improvement plans, workplace investigations, workplace accommodations, and disciplinary actions, up to and including terminations.
- Administer and manage Employee Benefits and Retirement Saving Programs
- Develop, implement and edit employee-related programs, policies and procedures, including development/implementation of related training, if required.
- Manage the Fitness for Duty Policy
- Research and implement best practices, including Staff Retention Strategies and benchmarking of compensation
- Conduct Exit interviews
- Retention and Offboarding of employees
- Maintain and update all HR files, including Employee Personal Files
- Stay informed on upcoming changes to legislation
- Performs additional duties as required.
- Degree or diploma in HR Management
- 10+ years' experience in all aspects of Human Resources
- Strong working knowledge of various related legislation, such as Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships proactively with employees at all levels
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with limited direct supervision
- Highly developed organizational, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Is detail oriented and have strong attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset
