We are looking for an onsite deskside technicians in Quebec City.


Responsibilities:

a)

Onsite support Service:
this will cover service requests, break & fix, migration (EUC

&CNN) and IMACDs processes for:


  • End user support
  • End user support
in Digital Bars set up and as directed by customer

  • IT vending machines process support (level 1 only)
  • Meeting room and conferencing IT equipment support
  • Print service support.
b) Onsite support service will be responsible for Hands & Eyes and computer room support for:

  • Third party support & facilitation
  • Onsite IMACD (installs, moves, adds, changes & decommissions/disposal)
  • Hardware logistics and stock management (at dedicated resource locations)
  • Asset management and inventory management (applies to dedicated resources. This information will reside in customer's database). Inform of assets/inventory used during ticket closure.
  • Technology refresh
  • Offsite meeting/town hall support (travel expenses will be applied for dedicated resources as required and dispatch technician will attend on a smart hands basis.)
a) Technicians' Responsibility

b) Incident resolution.

c) Service requests fulfilment.

d) IMACDs (install, move, add, change, dispose) request fulfilment.

e) Hands and eyes support for IT infrastructure devices.

f) Meeting room IT equipment support, maintenance with preventive checks periodically (smart hands).

g) IT vending machine support (smart hands).

h) End user support in Digital Bar where applicable.

i) Planned or unplanned hardware replacement activities like cables (from workstation to network drop panel on the wall within the data closet), small form factor pluggable transceivers (SFPs), etc (patch cables only excludes cable termination)

j) Onsite troubleshooting support whenever needed.

k) VIP support where applicable.

l) Printing service support (smart hands). customer is responsible for spare parts/logistics as needed

m) Escorting of third-party technicians.


The dedicated technician will carry out a range of IT duties including daily IT responsibilities and IT administrative tasks as assigned within the appropriate skillset.

The onsite technician will also act as smart hands, eyes, and feet to work with third line and external support teams in areas such as the data centre, network, telephony, imaging, backup and security to resolve incidents.

The technician will also be a point of contact on the site for relevant IT related matters.

The dedicated onsite technician may also become involved in assisting with the receipt and management of onsite stock, spares, requesting purchase of assets (not procurement) and updating IT systems (such as asset database) where the tools and processes are provided.

The onsite technician is not responsible for the procurement, the asset management process, or the tools, but are responsible to follow the processes provided to place requests and updates.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract


Pay:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
