With locations across Nova Scotia, including Halifax, Lower Sackville, and more, Souls Harbour operates various programs like Drop-In Centres offering free hot meals, Freemarts distributing essential items, and Mobile Missions like #SoulsMobile within HRM. Additionally, they run accessible services like free showers and Mission Mart - a social enterprise thrift store in Bayers Lake. The organization also supports adults with disabilities through its Mission Abilities Resource Training (MART) program.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-road role, Dartmouth, NS, for a Mobile Mission AIM Team Member – Crisis Response (Evenings/Weekends Required). The role involves assisting individuals in crisis by delivering resources such as food, clothing, and hygiene supplies through the Mobile Mission van. Responsibilities also include preparing and distributing meals, organizing donations, supporting the community during crisis situations, and embodying the organization's mission of compassion and care.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, community support, or volunteer coordination.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
• Organizational and time-management skills for handling donations and coordinating schedules.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm during crisis situations.
• A valid driver's license and ability to operate a large vehicle (e.g., van) are required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Background in social services, non-profit work, or related fields is an asset.
