REGULAR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain comprehensive understanding of DDC system hardware, software and peripheral devices (training provided)
Interpret plans, specifications, manuals and schematics to develop accurate project estimates
Engage small teams in project kickoff, progress and postmortem meetings.
Manage all aspects of a project including adherence to schedule, profitability, and customer expectations.
Estimate, prepare, submit and track scope/cost changes.
Establish, maintain, and build lasting relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, and contractors
Identify potential business opportunities and present to management
Understand and maintain subcontractor responsibilities throughout a project
Resolve project disputes in a proficient and timely manner

REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES

Minimum 35 years previous Installation, Estimating or Project Management experience working on highrise residential, commercial or institutional projects
Experience using MS Office (Excel), Outlook, PDFediting software (Bluebeam)
Knowledge of key bid preparation principles, including quantity take offs, securing supplier pricing and bid closing procedures is an asset
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong understanding of current Canadian Electrical Code is an asset
Prior experience in the HVAC industry is an asset
