CSCI-7785 Distributed Database Systems**Course Description:This course introduces the theory of distributed databases and comparison to centralized databases. Topics include location transparence, locking, deadlock, data sharing and timestamping. A project to implement a small, distributed database system is of prime importance to the course.

Required Qualifications:

Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Must hold a master's degree or a PhD degree in one of the following fields of study: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Having a North American teaching experience or work experience in database design is preferred.
