Our multi-disciplinary team provides hands-on exposure to mechanical design, software development (including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimization), controls deployment, energy modeling, and research and development.

Continual has 5 major divisions that work together to provide complete solutions to our customer:

Design and construction of large central heating and cooling plants utilizing the latest heat pump technology.
Zero Carbon system design for new buildings or decarbonization of existing buildings utilizing the latest heat pump technology.
Commercial/industrial controls and automation.
Building Automation Systems, Automated Fault Detection Analytics, Optimization and 24/7 Service and Support.
Professional services

We are currently looking for a qualified individual to create and edit drawings and documentation for use in the implementation of heating, cooling, and ventilation controls and optimization projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

Core Responsibilities:

Report to engineering manager to create and edit drawings from design references.
Draft drawings from design sketches and briefs, including but not limited to:
Network drawings.
System layout and instrumentation drawings.
Panel and electrical schematic drawings.
Schedules for systems and components.
Datasheet packages.
Participate in design review meetings and implement corrections from review markups.
Assemble documentation packages for submission to meet project requirements.
Daily office work required from Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to project sites within GTA.

Skills Required:

Familiarity with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software including:
Microsoft Visio
AutoCAD
BricsCAD
Ability take direction, work in a fastpaced team and collaborative environment, multitask, and maintain organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Very comfortable with Windowsbased computer systems and Microsoft Office.

Additional desired skills, but not required:

Knowledge of mechanical Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems.
Industry experience with Building Automation and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).

Qualifications and Education Required:

Diploma, degree, and/or equivalent relevant experience in related field.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience.
Three (3) weeks of vacation.
Ten (10) paid days off (sick days).
Health benefits package after ninety (90) day probationary period, includes dental and vision.
Potential for tuition reimbursement.

Schedule:

Typical work week is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Occasional overtime or afterhours/weekend work required.

COVID-19 Considerations:

Proof of vaccination as required by client sites and general contractors.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including masks, rapid testing, etc.

Other:

Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.
Capable of passing an Ontario Contractor Security Screening Check (no criminal record).
Be prepared to show a portfolio of your work.
