The primary function of this role is to generate revenue through new business and the ongoing servicing of commercial clients.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Associate you bring to Gallagher a strong background of pipeline development and new business sales.

You will work alongside the National Sales and Strategic Growth teams to build out targeted sales campaigns levering best in class data, tools, resources and specialties.

With strong campaigns developed you will bring your strong Business Development experience to develop and cultivate prospective clients and either secure new business or pass along appointments to producers who will help you complete sales.

You have the flexibility to work with several products and a strong desire to become an insurance expert. Current RIBO license is a benefit but not a requirement.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Help develop sales campaigns using Gallagher's current product and industry expertise in addition to using data to target the ideal client.
  • Build out a strategic growth plan which includes campaigns to focus on, activity levels required, approaches to engaging prospects, and strategy for pitching clients
  • Help with developing required sales collateral to enable you through the prospect cycle
  • Collaborate regularly with producers and Area Presidents to check in on your approach and targets
  • Track all progress on leads within Salesforce and keeping track of required consent to build future campaigns
  • Leverage Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, and other data tools to enrich the prospecting process
  • Track and record discussions for future follow up
  • Collaborate with SGT team to develop targeted material to improve client experience

Qualifications:

  • University and/or College degree in a related business function.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in a high paced business development role
  • RIBO License and/or CRM designation is helpful. A desire to obtain either within 12 months is required.
  • Strong comprehension of the sales process, both short cycle, small client and long cycle, large client
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including working under deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Experience working within a CRM (Salesforce or similar)
  • Builds rapport easily with colleagues
  • Ability to work within a strong team while autonomous with timesensitive projects
  • Working within structured project methodology, project governance and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills; able to help others translate data for client and prospect use.
  • Excellent planning skills and ability to anticipate future outcomes
  • MS Office proficiency (esp. Word and PowerPoint) is required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in WebEx or Conferencing software
  • Ability to meet consistent high quality standards while managing a variety of projects and deadlines.
