Productivity Lead - Business Process Improvement (Full-Time) - Brampton, ON or Mississauga, ON

Primary Purpose

The Productivity lead will partner with the productivity team and senior management within the Packaged Gas (PKG) business to ensure the strategic implementation of continuous improvement and other productivity improvement initiatives required to drive overall business efficiency and operating profit.

The productivity lead within PKG business will ensure the strategic implementation of new and optimized processes and established business KPI's to drive improved sales optimization, customer experience and business efficiency.


Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

Productivity Focal Point for PKG Business:

  • Lead strategic productivity initiatives and projects as necessary and help operational/ functional lead to execute projects.
  • Understand strategic direction of business unit and implements action plans to meet the needs of the business and key stakeholders; drives bottomline focus with productivity teams.
  • Drive process mapping of current Order to Cash (OTC) processes such as customer acquisition, customer setup, order desk, billing, cash collection etc. & identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Working closely with sales director develop sales process mapping and KPI's for sales optimization and labour utilization within Inside (branch) and outside sales teams.
  • Create customer sales analytics to give visibility into customer, market, and product trends.
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology in ordering & customer service processes, maximize replication opportunities with business leads, and implement best practices
  • Facilitate idea generation through collaborative efforts (e.g., brainstorming, lean events, process mapping and stakeholder engagement).
  • Understanding and validating claimed productivity savings and impact working with the business unit financial controller.
  • Involved in tool development such as customer segmentation, branch analysis from concept initiation through commercialization & be expected to work closely with the business to lead the project execution.
  • Develop relevant and insightful KPI's for continuous monitoring and improvement across various PKG business areas.
  • Collaborate with other members of Linde Digital in the sharing of opportunities and best practices.

Productivity Management:


  • Manage productivity pipeline & track it for accurate projection of savings.
  • Engage with business leads to improve upon productivity performance relative to the other Linde business units & regions.
  • Prepare and provide monthly progress towards Annual Business Plan (ABP) productivity targets and identify any actions to eliminate gaps in progress versus ABP productivity targets.

Required Qualifications/ Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering Preferred).
  • A dynamic individual with 3 to 5+ years of experience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies & process mapping.
  • Proven track record in implementation of process improvement projects will be considered as an asset.

Competencies:


  • Strong in analytical thinking to diagnose problems and develop effective solutions to address the issue.
  • Strong ability in data analysis including sourcing data, assessing data quality, and dealing with gaps in data completeness to draw the accurate insights from the data.
  • Excel and digital capabilities to drive initiatives and to bring insight faster (e.g., Power BI).
  • Results driven with the ability to be a selfstarter, have a strong work ethic, and function independently with mínimal supervision.
