How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:


Major Responsibilities:


  • Provide active operational support on Forestry services projects including tree and forest inventories, arborist reports, hazard tree removals, and invasive species management.
  • Assist with TRCA Ash Tree Injection Program.
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of the tools and equipment required of each program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you need to succeed:

  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge of best practices in forestry and arboriculture operations.
  • Experience in dendrology and woody plant identification skills,
  • Possess a current, valid Class G Driver's License,
  • First Aid / CPR certificates is an asset.
  • Computer literacy including the use of GPS, Microsoft office suite programs, and GIS software is an asset
  • Familiarity with farm, landscape and construction equipment, including small tools and larger machinery.
  • Demonstrated experience and aptitude for outdoor activities and to work outdoors in adverse conditions.
