Description
RIC Power Corp., a manufacturer of medium voltage switchgear, including protection and control systems is looking for Production Assembly/Electrical Technician.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wiring control panels and industrial equipment
- Read and work from established procedures and engineering drawings, electrical schematics or blueprints
- Effectively sets up workstation and wires up panels to make acceptable product while minimizing scrap and rework
- Use semiautomated equipment to cut, strip, crimp and label wires prior to installation.
- Complete wire termination (crimping, soldering) using different styles of connectors per Engineering specification
- Bolt, screw and fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment
- Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills are an asset
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of one year experience in a skilled production environment
- Postsecondary education in a college or technical school
- ASSET: Electrical training/apprenticeship experience
Salary:
$22.00-$32.00 per hour
