Your responsibilities:

Plan, organize and manage the work of unionized employees;
Ensure that staff members comply with policies, administrative procedures, safety rules, collective agreements and government regulations;
Act as a resource person for all employees in the assigned territory;
Collaborate with other supervisors and staff to establish and implement policies, procedures and objectives;
Promote safe work practices, by conducting safety audits, participating in company safety meetings, and meeting oneonone with staff members;
Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets;
Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints;
Collaborate with internal or external stakeholders to determine the causes of accidents that occur during transport and improve safety procedures;
Participate in the disciplinary process or the settlement of grievances;
All other related tasks.

Your profile:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel management in a unionized environment;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
Valid driver's license with a good driving record;
Possession of a firearm licence (an asset);
Very good leadership, negotiation, and judgment skills;
Strong focus on teamwork and partnership;
Sense of urgency, exceptional communication and problemsolving skills
Critical thinking and active listening developed.
