The Role:


As a Dealership Infrastructure Analyst, you will research and implement new customer facing technologies at our dealerships clients, while providing excellent support to both our internal and external customers.

This role provides the opportunity to work individually and within the team in a fast-paced environment and to travel occasionally within Canada and the US.

This position will be based in our Milton, Ontario office and is not a remote work opportunity.


Responsibilities:


  • Research new technologies and seek ways to implement them into customer environments
  • Review current technical processes and procedures, seeking ways to improve them by means of automation or other tools
  • Act as a toptier technical resource for customer facing technical issues
  • Monitor & respond to escalation tickets from other PBS teams in a timely manner
  • Work closely with other DIT (Dealership IT) analysts and PBS teams to resolve customer facing issues
  • Perform indepth troubleshooting of server & network issues
  • Perform network monitoring and troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
  • Manage Windows Update deployments and patching using patching software
  • Manage daily backups using Veeam/Windows
  • Maintain internal documentation on hardware, software, and custom tools
  • Manage medium to large scale projects and implementations according to budgets and schedules
  • Train other Analysts on new technologies, processes, and procedures to establish best practices
  • Work to meet departmental and personal goals established by management
  • Provide afterhours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional afterhours maintenance
  • Managing Azure HCI deployments
  • Managing Azure DR plan for DIT
  • Managing any cloud deployments that will be required for DIT
  • Provide guidance and mentoring for less experienced members of the team
  • Responsible for keeping track of assets and DIT deployed servers and networking equipment in the Milton office datacenter
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • 23 years' experience in System or Network Administrator role
  • Extensive handson experience with servers, switches, and firewalls
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server platforms such as 2012 R2, 2016 or 201
  • Experience with Windows Server roles such as Active Directory, Group Policies, and RDS
  • Experience creating and managing virtual environments (Hyper-V is preferred)
  • Experience with backup technologies and tools such as Veeam
  • Experience managing networks, VLANs, VPNs and Firewalls
  • Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server
  • Certifications from Microsoft, Dell, CompTIA, and/or Cisco considered an asset
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell considered an asset
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry or dealership environment considered an asset
  • Fluent in English and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problemsolving skills
  • Effective time management and organization
  • Available to travel occasionally in the US and Canada
  • Available to work hours beginning at 6:00am, 7:00am, 8:00am, or 9:00am
  • Available for occasional work on nights and weekends for infrastructure related emergencies and afterhours maintenance
